On November 4, 2008 the first African American was elected President of our United States...Barack Obama. History has been made within our lives whether we wanted him to win or not. By him running he made history, by him winning he made even bigger history!Everyone has different opinions of what they feel the better candidate is or was. But in the end one man had to win.
This year I did not vote for the first time. Why because I did not feel either candidate was qualified enough to take on our nation. One was too inexperienced and the other was not trusting. Therefore my opinion really does not matter on whether I wanted this one to win or that one. The only thing I hope and pray that he can help our serious economic downturn; our generation is seeing. He will need to look at taxes, spending, healthcare, and the wars we have going on. Will him be able to get us better taxes, better insurance, get us out of the seriously bad economy, or even help our troops to finally come home...we will see what he can do in the next four years.
