Past Weekend!

This past weekend I got to enjoy a lot of fun 'events.' Friday I had the day off...so Wesley and I went to see the new Cowboy's Stadium. We did the one and half hour tour. I didn't realize how big that sucker is until you actually get inside. Beautiful stadium with a lot of amenities.

Then Saturday Wes and I went to a free Car Show in Plano and then the Mavs vs Thunder in the evening. At the car show we both saw our very first 1.5 million dollar car (yes I said that right 1.5 million dollars!!!). At the Mavs game we saw Tony Romo in the front row with his girlfriend Candice Crawford and her brother Chase Crawford. Even though the Mavs lost...I still had tons of fun!

Hard At Work...

Yea so this past Friday at my full-time job. I helped out getting some marketing material out to the stores. First we ordered these massive tubes, then stuffed each tube with material. Needless to say we are only half way done (more to do on Monday morning).

March...And Snow?

So...on Friday I was working a rehearsal and the group told me that it might snow. Now I looked at them and was like 'Hmm...snow...in March...really?'

Low and behold I wake up on Sunday morning and look out my window and see SNOW IN MARCH in Texas! I swear Texas weather is one crazy punk! ;-)

Auto Show

I am little behind on updating my blog. So here are some pictures of the Auto Show I went to with my parents and sister. We enjoyed going to the show plus a drink at Friday's afterwards. It was a great time spent with them!

I decided to be a big girl and drive all the way to and from work. This was my first time driving in weather like this...normally I call in and have the day off. But I really was bored and wanted to go to work (weird I know)!

I have recently found a site that you can discounted services or items in your area! It is called Groupon. I have already purchased Tiff's Treats (only $5.00 for a dozen cookies normally $8.99) and Deep Sushi ($10.00 for $25.00 worth of sushi). Once you sign up there is a different deal everyday...they do email you the deal to keep you up to date.

Steve Byrnes & Pete's Piano Bar

On January 16, 2010 the Scalzo family went to see Steve Byrnes at the Improv (for my mothers birthday) and then the parents went home while us kids went to Pete's. Let's just say this was the most fun I had in a long time!!!

But first we cooked dinner for the parents at Steph's apartment.

Christmas 2009

This year was a wonderful year as not only did I get to spend a whole two days with my family but for the first time ever I got a 'white Christmas.'

Lastly the puppies had to play around with their toys. Then they all got mini bones but I took Prue's away because she looked like she was going to swallow it whole! Then I went back to my seat with Nip and she grabbed her bone thinking I was going to do the same. Spoiled dog!

Update

This year so far has turned out to be another tough year for me. Not only was my 'work' life put to the test but my 'personal' life was as well.

I am still working at my full-time job in the purchasing department. We went through a brief time of certainty of our job and job duties but thank the good Lord I was able to pull through it and still be blessed with a job. However, during that time I came to realize that you can not trust anyone and that the only thing I should worry about is my job and my job duties. My main focus is now learning as much as I can learn for my future.

This month marks one whole year at the wedding chapel! I truly love love love this part-time job! I never in a million years thought that I could be so outgoing, take charge of a group of people, be completely organized and have fun all mixed into one scenario. This is my dream job...I just wish I could make it a full-time one.

In August of this year I finally became completely and finalized divorced. This was a very long and stressful process. However, I am thankful to have that person and that life gone, finished, completed and soon to be forgotten. I am finally on my way to recovery over everything that happened and becoming the woman I want to be.

Pretty much in general I had to learn a lot about myself and what I want to achieve in my life time. I had to learn that having all the material things in life isn't what makes you happy or show that you have achieved the most. It is the little things in life that make you the happiest and fullest.

This month is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In support of this cause ShoeDazzle has a 'special' shoe for the occasion. Every time this particular shoe is bought a percentage of the sales goes to the fight against Breast Cancer Research.

Me, Melissa, being a total lover of shoes and the color pink...I was all over this buy. Here are The Stephanie's that I just bought!!! Ooohhhh Awwww!!!!

Mini Vacation

This weekend Caleb and I had a mini vacation. We headed to Hillsboro (where his family lives) Saturday morning. From there we picked up his sister, brother in law, neice, mother and father and headed to AUSTIN! We all went to the Texas vs Colorado game. It was great to be back in Austin after two years! I didn't realize how much I loved and missed that place until I final stomped my way back there! Here are some pictures of my time...

Driving Fun!

I was leaving work around 5:15pm. I noticed it was a bit sunny and hot outside. As I was driving home I looked ahead and saw very dark and mean skies. Thinking to myself 'it's just another storm with a pinch of rain.' Well...I was a bit wrong. Once I got up to the dark clouds rain started to pour down on my car like no other. It was so hard for me to even see 10 feet in front of me. Soooo my scary chicken butt pulled over and waiting out the storm (on the side of the road). That was a first time for me to ever get that scared in a rain storm... But better be safe than sorry!

Birthday

For my 28th birthday (WOW...28th!) I wanted a nice quiet birthday with my family. We went over to my parents house watched football, played Scene It (men against the girls...let's just say the girls got their booties handed to them), and ate a wonderful Italian dinner!
